Seeking volunteers to be Art Adventure Picture People!

Become a ‘Picture Person’ by attending one of the two training sessions at the Cultural Center in New York Mills. If interested, call the Center at (218) 385-3339. The Minneapolis Institute of Art has already held their training sessions in Minneapolis this past September, but you can register for free training by Pam Robinson (B.S. Art Education) at the Cultural Center.  Choose one of the following sessions:

  Monday, November 27th        11:00 AM – 12:30 PM   OR    6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

To become more familiar with the idea of being a Picture Person, you can view a short (<5 minutes) video on the Minneapolis Institute of Art website:

                      Art Adventure

You can also acquaint yourself with the six art objects in the collection by scrolling down on the same webpage and clicking on Artists’ Inspirations or type:

      Inspirations

After going through Picture Person training and becoming familiar with the kit, simply approach schools and community groups (Scouts, home-school groups, service organizations, etc.) of your choice to offer your presentation services. You and the classroom teacher or community group leader will then agree upon dates/times/teaching presentation levels.

Questions? Call or e-mail: (218) 385-3339 or info@kulcher.org
