The Cultural Center would like to thank NYM High School 2017 Graduate Marcie Peeters for volunteering as our summer art leader for Art in Your Park in June. Marcie says that being able to spread enthusiasm and share her passion for art is very important to her. Art has always been a part of who she is. This fall, Marcie will be attending the University of Minnesota, Duluth and although her major is undecided, she hopes to keep art in her back pocket throughout her life.

Marcie will also be participating in the Cultural Center’s Fish House Festival this year on Friday, July 7, 2017, as one of our featured fish house painters. We are thrilled to have Marcie involved with the Cultural Center this summer, and wish her all the best as she starts college in the fall!

We would like to welcome New York Mills high school students Madalyn Erp and Kenna Salo as Art in Your Park volunteers for July and August! Kenna and Madalyn will kick off their volunteering with fish-themed Art in Your Park activities upstairs in the Cultural Center’s second floor studio space during the Fish House Festival, Friday July 7th, from 1-4pm.  Thanks to Madalyn and Kenna for volunteering with the Cultural Center this summer!

These free summer art activities for kids are available thanks to the generous support of our donors, members, and grant-making organizations. Continued donations are needed to keep these programs free and available to all. To make an online donation to support Art in Your Park, click here, or call us at 218-385-3339. Thank you!
