Vivian is originally from South Korea and has lived in several places throughout the United States from the east coast to the west cost, most recently settling in New York after earning her MFA (Masters in Fine Arts).

This is Vivian’s first visit to Minnesota, and she is most looking forward to the snow, as she has fond memories of playing in the snow as a child. (Thanks to our recent blizzard, she should not be disappointed!)

Vivian is a visual artist whose interest and works range from painting to hand-cut paper installations, to the creation of art books, and most recently, visual diaries. She is currently exploring this new idea of visual diaries, using objects from nature, posting them on the wall, and taking pictures of these objects as a  visual representation of daily life.

Both images are of Vivian’s past work featuring hand-cut papers.
