DISH is a community engagement project by artist Su Legatt that combines potlucks with focused discussion.
Each guest is asked to bring a family or ancestral dish to share with its recipe card. These dishes will be photographed as guests arrive to document the diversity of the group, acting like a portrait of the guest. After collecting food, guests will partake in a loosely guided conversation about the traditions, stereotypes, history, and cultural characteristics of the region.
Come for DISH, and stay for Open Mic 7-9pm. Both events are FREE to attend & open to ALL.
