A round table conversation considering questions and answers about end of life will be presented at the Center on February 26th at 7pm.  Panelists will address spiritual, legal, medical, psychological, and practical issues that arise when a family member or friend reaches the end of her or his life.  There is no fee for this class.  Pre-registration is not required but it is appreciated.  Call 218-385-3339.

The panel includes a physician, a hospice nurse, a judge, a social worker, a funeral home director, a minister, and a builder of coffins and caskets.

Judge Sally Robertson, Wadena County District Court
Pastor Rachel Stout, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Sebeka
Diane Leaders, social worker/bereavement coordinator, Legacy Home Health & Hospice Services of Wadena
John Johnson, former funeral director, Johnson Funeral Home, Wadena
Patrick Kilby, owner, A Simple Pine Box, New York Mills
Karen Weego, hospice nurse, Wadena
Dr. Ben A. Hess, physician, Tri-County Medical Center, Wadena

The panel will discuss end of life issues from panelist’s professional points of view, and then open the conversation to everyone in attendance.

We hope to identify specific subjects that might be of interest to carry out more in-depth workshops later this spring.
