Power Vinyasa classes taught by new instructor Emma Olson on Wednesdays in January and February 3rd, 6-7 pm

Whether you’re looking to stretch and strengthen the body, or ease your mind after a long day, this class has you covered. You’ll be guided through a series of postures, connected by the inhales and exhales of your breath, for a full-body and mind experience. Great for all levels—beginner yogis and advanced practitioners are welcome! BYOM: bring your own mat.

Instructor Emma Olson’s first experience with yoga was in the summer of 2014. As a former dancer, she found it to be a new way to bring movement into her life, but most enjoyed how it offered an outlet for her anxiety and stress. After encouragement and support from her instructors, Emma signed up for Power Yoga Teacher Training through CorePower Yoga in Minneapolis. In December 2015, she completed her 200-hour certification. Emma hopes to offer an energizing and liberating experience for her students, to guide them to a place of strength, balance and self-acceptance.

Off her mat, Emma enjoys traveling, binge-watching TV shows, and laughing with family and friends. Emma and her husband, James, live in New York Mills with their two fur babies, Brownie (dog) and Curtis (cat).

Fee is $10 per class, or sign up for all four sessions (January 6, 13, 20 and 27) for a reduced cost of $35. Classes meet 6-7 pm at the Center. Please dress in layers and BYOM (bring your own mat). NOTE: Class CANCELLED January 20 due to illness. Make-up class Wednesday February 3rd from 6-7 pm.

Plans are in the works for continuing classes into February and beyond. Check back soon for more details!
