BrookeBullmanVisiting New York Mills in March is Brooke Bullman, a fiction writer from Alabama. Brooke writes about the South, the natural world, and family. Her short fiction has been published in The Louisville Review. While a resident at NYM, Brooke is finalizing a draft of her first book, a novel-in-stories about two Southern families who become entangled in a mother’s search for her lost son. She is also a recent resident of Brush Creek Foundation for Arts in Wyoming.

Brooke is grateful to the Cultural Center and the community for the time and space to work on her book, and looks forward to meeting fellow artists and art lovers at the Open Mic Night at 7pm on Thursday, March 28. Brooke will kick off the Open Mic with a short reading from her recent work. All are welcome, please join us!
