All are invited to our annual Winter Fundraiser at the City Hall Ballroom during the Community Christmas Tree Festival on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

The evening will begin with a Youth Ballet Recital at 6:00 p.m. and will continue as an Open House style fundraiser event with unique MN-made gifts available for purchase, a hot cocoa bar, whiskey tasting, and more!  This event is free to attend and open to the public.

Come to support the Cultural Center’s work, get some holiday shopping done, enjoy a cup of hot cocoa, and connect with your neighbors and friends!  All funds raised support the Center’s year-round programs (180+ events per year!) and YOUR creative community!

 

This FUN fundraiser will include:

  • Ballet Recital + Flowers for Dancers!
    • Our evening will begin with a brief recital performed by our Youth Ballet students at 6:00 p.m.
    • Thanks to Instructor Leona Cichy and all of the participants for sharing your talents and newly acquired ballet skills with our community

  • Mystery Grab — Grab a mystery package!
    • Pay $20 and grab any package of your choice!
    • Packages will be wrapped to conceal contents . . . grab one and unwrap for a satisfying surprise!
    • Assortment will include local gift cards, beer, wine, and more. Must be 21 to purchase alcohol.
    • Now accepting donations of gift cards, beer, wine, etc. 
  • Hot Cocoa Bar — Brought to you by the Cultural Center Board
    • Buy a cup of hot cocoa plus all the fixings to make it extra special!
      • Add flavored syrup, whipped cream, candy canes, marshmallows, etc.
      • Or, make an adult version by adding a shot of peppermint schnapps or similar!
  • Whiskey Tasting — Sponsored by Mills Liquors
    • Taste a variety of flavored whiskeys
    • Free will donation for tasting
    • Enjoy special discounts on featured bottles to purchase and take home!
  • CA$H for Christmas Raffle Drawing!
    • Brought to you by the Cultural Center Board of Directors, now is your chance to win CA$H for CHRISTMAS!
    • Grand Prize $2,000!
    • Plus 2nd & 3rd place prizes of $200 each!
    • Tickets are $50 each and only 180 tickets will be sold.

    • Kicks off November 29th @ noon; get more info and scan the QR code with your phone to log on at the event.
    • Bid online from the comfort of your home through Friday, December 8th @ NOON.
    • Pick up your “winnings” at the Center on December 8th (after 12pm) or 9th (10am-3pm), or contact us to make other arrangements.
    • This virtual option allows for bidders to support our work from near & far!

Fundraiser held at the NYM City Hall Ballroom during the week-long annual Christmas Tree Festival (hosted by the New York Mills Civic & Commerce Association), so you’ll have a chance to view all the community displays while you’re there too (many of which are available to bid on, with proceeds benefitting NYM Santa Anonymous).

We hope you’ll join us for a night of CONNECTIONS & conversation, hot cocoa SIPPING, whiskey TASTING, buying HOLIDAY GIFTS, getting all the details on ONLINE (silent) AUCTION, plenty of HOLIDAY CHEER & more!
