Terracotta Warrior

Detail, Terracotta Warrior, Minneapolis Institute of Art

Each year community volunteers work with area schools to bring the Minneapolis Institute of Arts “Art Adventure” program into classrooms. The program helps children learn to enjoy art and to recognize the cultural and historical content it communicates.  You can make this important learning program for kids an adventure to be remembered.

Students from the 3rd through 5th grade in Wadena, Perham, and New York Mills will take part in “Art Adventure” until March 23, 2015.

The Art Adventure package this year is “Family, Friends, and Foes.”  The museum provides us with a portfolio of  quality photographic reproductions of art in the collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Art that you and students will find irresistibly interesting.  If you have time, and love kids and art, this program will be a perfect fit for you.
