Introduction to Block Printing

Learn about block prints with the newest member of the Cultural Center staff, Cheryl Bannes. Cheryl is a metalsmith by training and inclination, but has worked for many years as a teaching artist, teaching art to all ages and abilities in all mediums.

In this class, participants will learn the basics of linoleum block prints and will also see variations of block printing process using alternative materials.
This workshop will start with an short Inuit story of The Owl and Raven, then participants will be be shown the materials and process to create a print. Your print might be inspired by the story or a design you create on the spot.

A fun class for ages 16 and up!

$10 fee; $8 for members. All materials supplied. Bring your creative ideas with you!
