As part of his current raku ceramics show at the Cultural Center galleries in New York Mills, Brad Wegscheid will give a free raku demonstration on Friday, May 30th in the parking area behind the Cultural Center. The demonstration begins at 6:00 pm.
Brad has been making art most of his life. He graduated high school from The Perpich Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley, Minnesota and then went on to earn a bachelor of fine arts in graphic communication from Northern Michigan University.
Brad spent over a decade doing commercial art in the Midwest, working mostly with traditional commercial printed work. He lives in Wadena, focusing on his work in illustration, wood, ceramic sculpture, and tile.
His raku ceramics show at the Cultural Center continues through June 14th, 2014. Brad’s show and his demonstration are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
