Artist in Residence at the Cultural Center holds a polymer clay workshop on Wednesday, May 17 @ 6:00pm.

The class covers making small polymer caricatures and reviews these steps: building armature, bulking the figure, preparing and applying clay, sculpting and refining head, painting and finishing face, baking (not firing), and final steps.

Instructor, Dr. Keith Andrews is a sculptor and aspiring humanist who lives in Tallahassee, FL. He works in diverse media including oil-based clays cast in bronze or resin/fiberglass. Polymer clay and other elastomeric polymers are the primary media for Andrews’ small figure work. His most recent work has been collaborative with other artists.

The workshop is free and open by appointment. Please RSVP by phone so the instructor can prepare workspace and materials. (218) 385-3339
