The Cultural Center is pleased to announce our Fall 2016 concert series!
All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the Cultural Center’s intimate gallery listening room space (unless noted otherwise). Tickets $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Members receive $2 discount. Students always $5. Call the Center for advance ticket reservations (218-385-3339).
Friday, September 2nd – Kent DuChaine
Kick off your Labor Day weekend with the return of Kent DuChaine, American blues singer and steel guitarist from Fort Gaines, Georgia.
Friday, October 14th – Corey Medina
Blues-Rock-Indie-Soul-Folk musician, originally from New Mexico & now residing in Bemidji, MN.
Thursday, November 17th – Brian Laidlaw
Troubadour-poet-folksinger from San Francisco and now based in St. Paul. A Minnesota State Arts Board Arts Tour grant recipient, Brian’s visit will include school & community songwriting workshops in addition to an evening performance.
Sunday, December 11th – Newberry & Verch
Newly touring duo Joe Newberry & April Verch, featuring guitar, banjo, fiddle & step dancing, playing old-time, gospel, roots, blues and ballads which stem into Canadian regional styles and originals, with some Christmas songs included too!
Wednesday, December 21st – Longest Night Music Festival
Annual winter solstice celebration of local musicians. Concert begins at 7:00 p.m.
