Unique Artist & Maker Goods
Embrace Cozy With Us This Winter!
All are invited to join us at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center for our first-ever Hygge Market on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
This event will focus on handmade goods by local and regional Artists & Makers, with a focus on hygge-themed items.
Hygge is defined as “a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture).” Hygge is a way of life for Danes that embodies a sense of coziness, simplicity, and being present.

Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) is a Danish concept that represents coziness, comfort, and contentment. It’s about slowing down, enjoying the little things, and embracing moments of peace — whether it’s lighting a candle, snuggling under a blanket, or appreciating beautiful art. At the Hygge Market, we are embracing this feeling through art, creativity, and connection.
Sit ‘n’ Stitch Workshop
We are also hosting a Sit ‘n’ Stitch Workshop at the Hygge Market, open to all and free to attend! After you explore the market and discover handmade treasures, take some time to relax and unwind at our workshop. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter, this workshop is open to all skill levels. It’s a perfect space to work on your current project, get inspired, and connect with fellow crafters in a welcoming environment.
