About the Artist

From the depths of his Midwestern roots, multi-award-winning songwriter Jordan Messerole writes songs as varied and resilient as the wildflowers of the native tallgrass prairie. Deeply connected to place, Messerole often draws inspiration from the region’s flora, fauna, and wildlife—using the natural world as both setting and metaphor.

Never one to shy away from weighty subject matter, Messerole’s songs meander thoughtfully across the spaces between love and loss, success and failure, and even life and death. His music is grounded in gritty American storytelling, brought to life through thoughtful lyrics, an engaging stage presence, and a masterful blend of guitar work—often accented by rack harmonica.

Whether intimate or expansive, Messerole’s performances invite listeners into honest, emotionally rich narratives that linger long after the final note. His authentic voice and compelling songwriting make him a perfect fit for the Cultural Center’s listening-room-style gallery space.
