The Cultural Center is excited to announce its new “Wednesday Workshops” series for 2023! On the 3rd Wednesday of the month, the Cultural Center will hold workshops starting at 10:30 a.m. in a variety of mediums.

Workshops will vary in length depending on the topic but will be between 2 to 3 hours in length, and will take place in our main floor gallery space. All materials provided and no experience needed. Cost $30/class; 10% discount for members.

  • Wednesday, May 17: Glass Mosaic Suncatchers

Wednesday, March 15: Stamped Metal Jewelry
Instructor: Cheryl Bannes

This workshop will teach you about types of metal, preparation of the metals, tools to use, stamping, and finishing designs. Each participant can plan on finishing a necklace and bracelet. Minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 participants. Cost $30; 10% discount for members.


Wednesday, April 19: Silk Scarf Painting
Instructor: Cheryl Bannes

Looking for something unique for Mother’s Day? Design, dye, and paint your own 11×60 silk scarf using cold water dyes and resists. Several techniques will be demonstrated, then participants will be able to create their own one-of-a-kind wearable work of art. Minimum of 4 and maximum of 10 participants. Cost $30; 10% discount for members.

Wednesday, May 17: Glass Mosaic Suncatchers
Instructor: Elizabeth Rockstad

Join Elizabeth Rockstad from Studio 4:13 as she leads you through the process of making one or two of your own 4” round glass mosaic suncatchers. No experience is necessary to make these beautiful suncatchers just in time to celebrate summer! Minimum of 10 and maximum of 12 participants. Cost $30; 10% discount for members.
