Blues Concert
Saturday, November 17 @ 7:00 p.m.
@ Cultural Center in NYM

Free to Attend!

All are invited to this FREE Niijii Radio Concert at the Cultural Center in NYM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 7-8pm!

T-Roy Anderson was born in Duluth MN. At age 6, the family moved to Bertha MN. T-Roy rocks juke joints and clubs with a distinctive blend of resonator and flat-top fingerpicking. His laid-back vocal delivery floats on the rollicking shuffle rhythms and raunchy two-beat groves that energize his clever speaking story songs.

He enjoys playing guitar, harmonica, dobro, national resonator slide, and piano. His influences are Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, John Prine, Kent Duchaine, Luther Allison and many other great artists.

T-Roy loves bringing back the old blues song feel in his original material. He is mostly self-taught, with many late nights jamming on the big porch of the old farm house.

His songs resonate with the history of the area to tell stories of floods, love lost, and the gritty blue-collar life and struggles of the Small Family Farmers. A certain truth along with the years of picking rocks, milking cows and working the land come out in his songs.

The Cultural Center is excited to be partnering with Niijii Radio again to celebrate local musicians. We invite everyone in the community to come out and enjoy this free live music event! Call the Center with any questions 218-385-3339.
