HELP WANTED! Join our creative team! Duties include membership & volunteer management, administrative assistance, and event planning.

Must be detail oriented, flexible, a self starter, and a team player. Some evenings, weekends, and physical setup/takedown work required.

Approximately 15 hours/week, starting ASAP. Starting pay $10-$14 per hour depending on skills and experience. Hours per week may also increase depending on fit and organizational needs.

Membership/Administrative Coordinator
15 hours per week, starting ASAP July 2021, open until filled.
Starting Pay: $10-$12 per hour, depending on skills/experience.

Seeking creative, energetic person to help grow the arts and build community in rural Minnesota. You will have the freedom to work independently and also be part of a fun team.

ADMINISTRATIVE: Welcome all visitors to the Center from the front desk as the first point of contact. Share basic organizational and program info, answer questions, ring up sales, answer phones, etc. Assist with program delivery, events, tourism inquiries, and general hospitality. Assist with administrative tasks and support as needed.

MEMBERSHIP: Coordinate Cultural Center memberships and donor relationships and information management. Maintain CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system by tracking and updating all contributions, donations and gifts (monetary and in-kind). Send membership reminders and donation receipt / thank you letters and related materials. Assist with member/donor engagement through acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.

EVENT PLANNING: Help coordinate events including concerts, gallery receptions, festivals, etc. Assist with recruitment of volunteers, food and supplies, setup, takedown, and prepare/update event planning spreadsheets that include all event details, schedules, personnel, lists, financial reports, etc. Assist with event recaps and evaluation practices.

VOLUNTEERS: Create program to recruit, nurture, and manage volunteers. Serve as main point of contact for volunteers including scheduling, relationships, and appreciation.

TOURISM: The Cultural Center is an Explore MN Tourism Affiliate Welcome Center for New York Mills. Staff responsible for responding to inquiries, tracking visitor counts, and maintaining tourism information & materials.

REQUIREMENTS: Some physical work required such as lifting and carrying sound equipment, chairs, boxes, etc., and going up and down stairs.

Some weekends and evenings required. Open hours: Wednesdays & Thursdays 10am-7pm, Fridays 10am-5pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm, closed Sun-Tues. Events often take place on evenings & weekends.

PROGRAMS: Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), MailChimp (Email), Little Green Light (CRM), ShopKeep (POS), Canva (design software).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Customer service; arts, events, customer service experience/interest/education preferred.
