Bring your quilts!
Saturday, September 22, 2018
By appointment: 10 am – 4 pm

The Minnesota Quilt Project is searching for new and old quilts made in or linked to Minnesota. The Cultural Center in New York Mills is partnering with the Minnesota Quilt Project to offer an opportunity for local quilt-makers to be included in this quilt documentation project during the 2nd Annual Weaving Waters Fiber Arts Trail Weekend which takes place September 21-22, 2018.

Quilts will be measured, photographed, dated, and patterns identified. Data gathered will be recorded and entered into the online database The Quilt Index (http://www.quiltindex.org). Information will be used by researchers of history, genealogy, and material culture of Minnesota.

Participation is free, by appointment. Each appointment will take 20-30 min. Appointments are available on Saturday, September 22, 2018, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please bring information about and a picture of the quilt-maker (if available). Confidentiality of quilt owners will be protected.
