Sherwin Linton is a legendary 86-year-old Folk, Country, and Rockabilly music icon known for telling “The Johnny Cash Story” and for successfully releasing several original Rock-A-Billy records in the Midwest in the 1960s before journeying to Nashville in 1966, where he cut “Cotton King,” a song that catapulted him to the top of the Country music charts. Sherwin’s show is complemented by his lovely and talented wife and vocalist, Pam Linton, who is a New Folk Records recording artist with her own rich music history.

For this special New York Mills show, Sherwin & Pam Linton will be joined by Norton Lawellin who plays keyboard and key base. The trio will play originals plus mix in some classic country hits including the music of Johnny Cash and The Carter Family.

Join us for a night of timeless tunes and country charm as Sherwin & Pam Linton bring their legendary show to the Cultural Center stage!

Known as “Mid-America’s Country Music Legends,” Sherwin & Pam Linton have been entertaining audiences across the nation for over six decades with their lively blend of classic country, rockabilly, gospel, and Americana favorites, including the original tribute to Johnny Cash.

From Sherwin’s early days hosting his own radio show in South Dakota to performing everywhere from the Grand Ole Opry to the Las Vegas Strip, his career has been filled with music, humor, and heart.

In addition to his musical accomplishments, Sherwin expanded his career into film, appearing in the 2000 feature Totem Ree Call alongside his longtime friends Williams & Ree. Over the years, he has been honored with inductions into the South Dakota Musicians Hall of Fame, the National Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, and continues to receive recognition and awards for his many contributions to the world of country music.

With his wife and musical partner Pam Linton by his side, Sherwin continues to share the songs that defined generations—hits by Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Elvis Presley, and many more—along with his own chart-toppers like “Cotton King” and “Santa Got a DWI,” an original novelty song with an anti-drunk driving theme that has now become a perennial Christmas favorite.

Their warmth, talent, and genuine connection with the audience make every performance unforgettable. Whether you grew up with classic country or just love great live music, this is a show you won’t want to miss!
