Please join us on Thursday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m. as we follow current artist-in-residence John Toren, author of The Seven States of Minnesota, on a whirlwind tour of Minnesota’s many and varied landscapes. This event will be held at the Cultural Center and is free and open to all.
John will escort us from the rugged cliffs of the North Shore to the buffalo-dotted prairies of Blue Mound; from the bog country north of Red Lake to the lovely bluffs and valleys of the Driftless Zone in the southeast corner of the state. His travelogue will be enlivened by a small but choice selection of images of the natural, geologic, historical, and cultural wonders that make Minnesota a true gem among states.
Toren, an editor, book designer, and author of four books and many articles and reviews, teaches a class in Minnesota geography in the University of Minnesota’s Learnlife Program.
