The goal of these youth ballet classes is to instill a love of movement and dance in children. Young dancers will learn basic ballet movements in a positive and fun environment. Proper technique is taught through creative dances and imagination.

The structured classes will focus on the basics of gross motor movement, including strength, coordination, and flexibility, as well as socialization and group learning. Every class will be a dance adventure of music and movement!

Teaching ballet to your littles is Leona Cichy. Leona began dancing at the age of two and is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern, among other styles. She was a member of the competitive Legacy Dance Company in New Jersey for ten years and has over 10 years of teaching experience in a variety of dance styles. Leona also has extensive experience in youth development and programming.

Please call the Cultural Center at 218-385-3339 or contact instructor Leona Cichy at leona@rwfsmn.org with any questions.
