Sculpture Park

Living Sculpture at the Sculpture Park

In the spring of 2012, a group of volunteers – led by George and Sherry Biltz – planted native grasses and other flowering prairie plants in a labyrinth that George designed. Although weather was warmer and drier than normal that summer, George kept up a weekly watering schedule for the young plants. David Romann of Perham transported a bunch of large rocks to the site, and a good number of folks braved the rainy weather on planting day. We’d like to thank the Lake Region Arts Council for helping to make this project possible – a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation made it possible to purchase 900 small prairie plants that will grace the labyrinth and the Sculpture Park for years to come.

We hope you will stop by the Park, enjoy the sculptures, and walk the labyrinth. For more information about labyrinths, check out the International Labyrinth Society web pages by clicking on the red image of a labyrinth design.

2017 was the 20th Anniversary of the Sculpture Park!
