The New York Mills Arts Retreat and Regional Cultural Center is a multidisciplinary arts organization that has been dedicated to expanding the cultural and creative opportunities for rural Americans for more than three decades. Our mission it to be a rural hub for creativity, community vitality, and lifelong learning in the arts. Our vision is to connect people to artists and rich cultural experiences, celebrating the local and being a window to the world.

We bring our mission and vision to life through a variety of year-round programs and events, including a performing arts / concert series, visual art gallery, classes and workshops, an artist residency program, a sculpture park, and annual community festivals/events. Our signature events include the Great American Think-Off in June, the Fish House Festival in July, the Kalevala Puppet Pageant in August, and the Longest Night Music Festival in December.  Check our Facebook page for the latest news and events in our community and region.

This photo shows elementary school students viewing artwork in our annual Regional Elementary School Gallery Show. The experience of seeing their work in a real gallery setting is something that makes a real difference in how they view art and the world.
