Community Art Event

@ NYM Sculpture Park / Barn

Spring into Summer with the Cultural Center and many artist, business, and community partners at this fun and family-friendly community art event! Join us at the New York Mills Sculpture Park / The Barn just off Highway 10 in New York Mills between 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2nd. [NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, this event will be moved to Thursday, June 3rd.]

The event will include the following activities:

  • FREE children’s activities
    • Children’s music & fun with Becky Imsande 5-6pm
    • Artist Brad Wegscheid’s Scribbletastic Fun-O-Matic Command Post
    • Make & take arts & crafts by the Cultural Center
    • Sensory fun with NYM ECFE
    • Make & take sheep craft by NYM Public Library
  • PAY-AS-YOU-GO adult art & gardening activities: $8 each or do all 4 for $25!
    • Floral arrangement with Kellie Smith Floral
    • Succulent workshop & planting with Denise Peltier
    • Owl art workshop with Cheryl Bannes of Cultural Center
    • Natural flower pressed dye project with Perala & Co.
      • Create a one-of-a-kind bookmark and notecard, OR bring your own goods to dye!
  • “Paint with Nate!” community mural painting for all ages with artist Nate Luetgers (free)
  • Food Trucks
    • Ruby’s Pinoy Foods
    • Lowriders Taco & Pizza
    • Backwoods Woodfire (tentative)
  • Cash Bar (beer, pop, water)
  • Live Music
    • Becky Imsande 5-6pm ** kid songs & fun! **
    • Elisa Korenne 6-7pm
    • LIVE AUCTION BREAK @ 7pm
    • Dave Virnala 7:15-8pm
  • Live Auction @ 7PM by Perala Bros Auctioneers
    • Items include: Kids’ Perfect Choice Adirondack Chair and Kitras Glass garden globe donated by Wild Goose in Perham, handmade bench & cradle by Dick Wentz, handmade quilt by Mellie Peach, Big Pine Lake Sunset Pontoon Extravaganza hosted by Jennifer Parta & Sarah Carlson, 3-month floral subscription by Kellie Smith Floral, kayak & paddle donated by Teresa Muckala, Carlos Creek Wine Tasting donated by Rebecca Imsande & Judith Brockway, NYM Eagles bean bag boards donated by Julie & Lee Roberts, artist made mosaic mirror donated by Jana & Al Berube, and more!

 

There will be something for everyone! Thanks to all the artists, businesses, and organizational partners for coming together for this fun community art event!
