All are invited to join us for an OPEN MIC POP UP event on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26, from 5:30-7:00 pm. at the Cultural Center!

Visiting Artist Elizabeth Gade will be reading poetry from her recently published book. The public is also invited to join in with readings, or music, or just to enjoy an evening of original poems.

Come meet our current Artist in Residence, hear some poetry, and add your own voice to our Open Mic if you so choose!  Free and open to all, light snacks available. Donations accepted. All are welcome!

More about Artist-in-Residence Elizabeth Gade:

Elizabeth Gade is a rural Northern Minnesota-based poet and human trafficking survivor. Writing is her radical way to connect with fellow survivors.

Her poems appear in View Magazine, The Elevation Review, 300 Days Of Sun, Other Worldly Women Press, Sober Girls Yoga Magazine, Exist Otherwise & more. Her self-published debut poetry collection “Fawn and Freeze” is available on Amazon.

Elizabeth created LEO Literary Journal, an online journal dedicated to women writers affected by incarceration, addiction and/or domestic violence. She is also the creator and host of Survived To Write, a survivor-led writing circle online for human trafficking survivors.
